Global Flyer Drag Chute System Work Recognized by Burt RutanWork done by Paratech Parachutes on design and development of the Global Flyer jet drag chute system was recognized with a the certificate shown signed by Scaled Composites owner Burt Rutan, and project engineer and chief test pilot Jon Karkow. Note pesonalized comment by Karkow: "It's been a flawless chute system". Certificate was flown on first Global Flyer jet test flight. Certificate has significant historical value, now that the drag chutes have flown around the world twice on the Global Flyer Jet on it's solo non-stop around the world flights on a single tank of fuel in 2005 ande 2006, to claim 3 new world aviation records. |
